Privacy Policy
Effective date: 07 November 2025
Inaam is provided by Unified Rewards Solutions (we, us, our). This policy explains how we handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the GDPR and California privacy laws.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
Support enquiries: If you contact us, we collect the information you send, such as your email address and message content.
Information collected automatically
App and device data: Diagnostic, crash and usage information, including feature interactions, session data, device and operating system version and app version. This helps maintain and improve performance.
Anonymous account identifiers: When you use the app, our authentication provider creates an anonymous identifier. This allows us to associate your encrypted wallet backup with a record in our cloud systems without collecting your name, email address or similar details.
Wallet content and sync data
Wallet content on device: Card numbers, loyalty identifiers and barcodes are stored in an encrypted database on your device.
Encrypted cloud backup: To help restore your wallet if you change or lose your device, the app stores an encrypted copy of your wallet in our cloud infrastructure. Card numbers and barcodes are encrypted before they are sent to us.
Encryption keys: We generate an encryption key for your wallet. It is stored securely on your device and associated with your anonymous identifier in our cloud systems so your encrypted data can be synchronised and restored.
Card metadata: Along with the encrypted number, we store card related information such as card name, type, category, colour, country or region of the card program, barcode type, usage counters and timestamps for creation, update and deletion. For custom cards, we may also store optional details you configure such as a custom name, logo and website URL.
We do not collect information for advertising and we do not sell your personal data.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
Operate, maintain and improve the app.
Provide encrypted backup and recovery of your wallet across devices.
Keep your card catalogue and barcodes in sync across your devices.
Respond to support enquiries and investigate technical issues.
Protect users, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:
Performance of a service: Operating the app, storing and synchronising your wallet and providing backup and recovery.
Legitimate interests: Improving performance and stability, maintaining security and preventing misuse.
Legal obligations: Responding to lawful requests and complying with applicable regulations.
Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorised access, use or disclosure.
Wallet content is encrypted before being stored or backed up.
Encryption keys and anonymous identifiers are handled in a way that is designed to limit access to authorised systems and personnel.
We use secure cloud infrastructure and standard security practices appropriate to the nature of the information.
No security method is completely risk free, but we apply protections that are appropriate to the risks of handling encrypted wallet data and associated metadata.
Data Retention
Wallet and backup data: We retain wallet data while you keep cards in your wallet. When you remove cards or reset your wallet, the associated encrypted records are removed from our active systems after synchronisation.
On device data: Data stored locally remains until you remove it or uninstall the app.
Diagnostics and crash data: Diagnostic and crash information may be retained by our service providers for limited periods consistent with their operational needs and default practices.
Sharing and Transfers
We share information only with trusted service providers that process data on our behalf, such as providers of:
cloud storage and backup
anonymous authentication
diagnostics, analytics and crash reporting
These providers may process data in countries outside Australia. When data is processed internationally, we use contractual and other safeguards designed to ensure the information receives appropriate protection consistent with applicable privacy laws.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety or security.
We do not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
You can delete all local data in the app. This will also remove related encrypted backups once the app has synchronised.
You can manage device level permissions (such as camera access) in your device settings, although this may affect certain features.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or transfer your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
For privacy related requests, contact support@inaam.app and we will assist, including by helping with requests that need to be passed on to our service providers.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App means you accept the updated policy.
